The old Mr. Gaskets (pevious owner) are getting thin and well beat-up so I want to replace them while I have the car apart.
Could someone recommend a good fitting set of headers for a 69 with power steering and a/c (a/c has been removed, but there will be a chopped suitcase that still remains)? What fits the best?

(I did a search both here and in the 2002 forum archives, but after a lot of reading, I'm ready for some fresh data.)

Assuming you're talking small block, Hooker Comps fit perfect with PS and Factory A/C. But, I don't like the fact that the left side is lower to the ground than the right.

Sorry, yes it is a small block.

May not be relative, but here's what'll be breathing through them:
383 Stroker, Edelbrock 750cfm, Performer Intake, Camel hump 2.02 heads, Magnum roller rockers, not sure what cam, swapping in 700r4 with 2200 stall, 12 bolt posi rear (3.08), Maybe going to 16" wheels with average ride height...
yada, yada, yada... you get the idea. :D

I'd suggest the Hooker Super Comps.I'm very happy with mine. But,you'll get alot of opinions from everyone here.
Just remember headers are like shoes....you get what you pay for.Buy cheap shoes and get sore feet.Buy cheap headers and you'll have a big pain in the butt.
