Hey Guy's,
I go into my garage attic today and I notice what I think are mice nest's that are made of pictures I took 20 years ago  This is war!
So I go to Home Depot and bought 2-4pack mice traps and I have a jar of peanut butter....ok I have those land mines set up..........
My question is I notice those electronic boxes you plug into a outlet and the sonic waves/sound should scare the varments away....
Do they work?....Have you tried them with/without luck?..... scientifically make sense?
Thanks

We had one of those suckers in the house last winter. The Pestcontrol company said that a mousetrap with peanutbutter is the most effective way. Those electronic jammers was not worth much they said.

Remember it can take a few days before youcatch them, they store food in their nests and don't come out until they get hungry again.

My shop "trap" is - a 5 gallon bucket with a thin piece of $$ 'safety wire' strung across the top and then a little dab of Peanut Butter in the middle of the wire.
The bucket has @5~6" of water in the bottom (I add a little Bildge Cleaner from my boat to keep it "Minty Fresh" :D ).
The little buggers just can't leave the P-Butter alone and will try to crawl out on the wire and then "Spash" - with the water they can't jump out and they don't swim all that well for very long...
When it gets @8~12 in it I flush the water and start all over again.
This thing works way better than any trap or "food" I've tried.

ps: those 'electronic' devices make my ears ring... :D

I go with the white 5 gallon pickle bucket too. I keep them in my hunting trailer which is up on blocks in the woods. I use Reeses Pieces candy in the bottom and set the bucket next to a sofa or chair. No need for a wire, they cant resist that peanut butter smell. They drop right down as the need for food overcomes their fear of height. In spring I find about a dozen of em, all wishing they hadn't. :D

It's been my experience that those devices don't work on the deaf mice. And, I now believe that most mice are deaf. ;)

Save your money.

I use a live trap made of metal about an inch and a half tall that has 2 1 way doors on it at each end. The top opens to clean it and/or add bait. Just put whatever you think the mice may have been living on in there and throw them out, kill them or whatever you want.

Keeps the house from stinking like it would if you use DCON where they can hide and rot in a wall.

I worked in a place were we got flooded, the insulation between the plaster walls got soaked and we had to dry out the place for three months. This place was out in the country side and we had a lot of rats there. Apparently some of those critters had died inside the walls over time and sort of dried. But after they got moist from the leakage they started to smell, real bad. and on top of that we got a zillion flies. Those fly eggs started to produce flies like mad.

He, He!!

When I was divorced and living with my Buddy, out at his place out in the country.

He had a crack in his basement foundation wall and the mice would start coming in when it started ta get frosty which he always expected every year!!

Anyway, I was watching TV down stairs and the crack was over by the woodstove and I saw something move AND lo and behold there was a couple a snakes coming in after the mice!!

I got all bent out of shape and killed one and when I told Doc, he just kinda laughed and said, don't worry about them b/c it's normal that they try to come in about now, besides they were good at getting rid of the mice!!

But I really like the bucket thing!!!!!!

Many nights in my upstate N.Y cabin...deer mice and beer, neither lasted long when discovered. Using a 22 pistol with 22 short ammo and its like an arcade game. Still have a lot of lead in the baseboards as a reminder of youth.......
