I'm getting ready to pull my M20 out in a few weeks to fix some leaks. It appears to only leak once the car has been driven for a few miles. The leaks appear to be coming from the rear(at the driveshaft), the side cover and where the shifter arms mount at the side panel. I hope it isn't leaking from the front as I have read a lot of posts on that. Anyway, what is involved with replacing the aforementioned seals/gaskets?
Where can the parts be purchased?
Is it a good idea to replace the fluid and how much do you put in?
Thanks, this site is a wonderful tool for us backyard wannabe mechanics.

The side cover gasket and shift arm seals are not that difficult. I recommend removing the tailhousing to replace the rear seal, that way you can check/replace the tailshaft bushing also. The bushing and/or driveshaft yoke may be bad, causing the rear seal to leak. Anyway, the Gearzone is an excellent place to buy Muncie parts and get advice.
