I have a 68 camaro with a TH350 and I am not sure where the kickdown cable is suppose to mount and connect to. I can see where it mounts to the tranny but I am having trouble on where it mounts to and connects to on the carb I have a 750 Holley. I guess I have to get some brackets for it so where do I purchase the kickdown mounting brackets. Any info is greatly appreciated.

You can get the bracketry to hold the cable from the deal er, costs less than $5, or from aftermarket.

Once bracket is installed, need to install a ball into the lowest hole on the carb linkage. Bracket and ball should be in-line with each other.

On the side of the cable is a release, pull out release to its detent, this allows the cable casing to become shorter in overall length. Insert cable through bracket and place ball into slot of trans linkage. Have an assistant press gas pedal to the floor and hold. Grasp cable casing behind bracket and pull towards the trans, remove the slack. Once slack is gone, push in on casing release. Let gas pedal return to idle position, if not, fix now. Done.

his adjustment should give 4500-5200 rpm gear changes at WOT.

It eludes me at the moment, but, any good GM partsperson should be able tocome up with one.

The bracket only held the cable and bolted to the next to the last two drvr side intake bolts, it straddled #7&5 intake runner. Probably a 70's chevy, sorry...
