My car was originally a BB - swapped to a SB by the previous knucklehead owner. The frame side motor mount stands are still original and I'd like to swap them for the correct SB parts.

Anyone have a set left over from a BB swap they'd like to part with? No luck searching the ads so I thought I'd check here. Please e-mail me.

If no one has any go to www.dennyscamaro.com (http://www.dennyscamaro.com) and email him. He is a camaro shop that i bought all my parts from. He has a lot of used parts, and he is a great guy to deal with. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for parts. He supplies parts for 67-81, but he mainly stocks 67-69 parts. I cant say enough good things about my dealings with him. Good quality parts at a great price.

OK - now I'm confused. I've been back through previous posts on SB vs BB frame and motor mounts. Some say you must change mounts during a swap and others that say you don't have to but the motor may move forward or back a bit.

So - what the heck is the difference between the mounts - specifically on a '69??? Do they just move the motor forward and back - or is there a height difference as well? And do the motor mounts and frame mounts interchange or must they match?

The real reason for my questions is that I'm trying to eliminate the interference between my swaybar and SB 400 dampner. If I'm running the wrong mounts and changing them will help - then I'll do it. But I certainly don't want to go in the wrong direction or make no difference at all.

Also, I picked up the BB frame mount part no.s from a post by Clill (thanks) - anyone have the '69 SB #s handy?

Small block frame mounts are taller. BB are shorter. I have not seen them move an engine forwards or backwards. For a Chevy truck yes I have seen it move forwards.

Hello,

I have a set of small block frame mounts that I'm not going to use.
I would be interrested in your big block ones, maybe a trade.
I'm converting my camaro (67 convertible) to a big block
so if you are interested e-mail me
