I'm looking for some help to identify the intake manifold on my 69 Camaro SS. I'm new at this so please bear with me.

Some brief history. The motor is not the original but it is an L78 396/375hp. I recently purchased the car and knew up front that the motor was not original. I have the protecto-plate and the transmission and rearend match.

I have researched the casting numbers for the block, heads, crank and cam. All appear to be correct. The block stamp has a an MQ suffix. It has a Holley 3310-2 carburetor.

The intake manifold is aluminum and a dual plane type. It has the Winters Foundry "snowflake" on the number 1 intake run. I have not found a casting date for the manifold but the casting number is 3919851.

I have looked in the 1965-69 Chevrolet by the numbers fom Alan Colvin but the only close numbers in there are ...850 and 852 which are for the triple two barrel.

It does look like someone did some work on the manifold - the ports appear to have been enlarged and also it looks like the center divider in the plenum has been removed.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I might be able to help a little. The date will be on the underneath of the intake, and if it has an oil splash plate its probably under there,of coarse  That was the bad news; the good news, maybee, is that I found an intake with the #s 3919878 / 1967 . I looked in the search engine for winters intakes. Found some interesting things there, might help. lol
