I INSTALLED A GM CROSSRAM ON MY 69 Z28 AND NOW I CANT GET THE ORIGINAL STYLE VALVE COVERS OFF.THE SIDE OF THE VALVE COVER HITS ONE OF THE BOSSES FOR THE LID BOLT.IT ALMOST CLEARS BUT NOT ENOUGH.IS THIS TIPICAL?I CANT SEE GM DESIGNING AN INTAKE THAT HAS TO BE REMOVED TO DO A VALVE LASH.THERE HAS BEEN NO MACHINING DONE TO THE HEADS OR INTAKE THAT IS NOT FACTORY.HELP

Rotate the crankshaft 1/2 turn and try again. Also if you have aftermarket roller rockers you will have to trim a little off the valve cover.

302xram is right. You will have to notch the top of the valve covers.I had to doo it with stock rockers. You may have to take the intake off again.
