Hey guys,

I'm installing a Sunpro 2 & 5/8" Oil pres./Water temp./Ammeter gauge pod in my Camaro. I need to know where the stock water temp. sender is located.

It's not on the Thermostat housing or on the intake man. that I can tell. I have found a plug on the side of the Pax. side cyl. head that looks like it will work for the new temp. guage sender.

Any help appreciated!!

Thanks,
Mark P.

My bad.....I found it! redface.gif :D

I will just mount the new sender on the Pax. side head and have both a light and a direct temp. reading. No harm in that is there?

Thanks,
Mark P.

Mark,

My 327 210 hp motor had the sender screwed into the driver side cylinder head between and slightly above #1 and #3 spark plug. The wire was right there for the light. Does your car have the wire for the sending unit on the driver side?

Dan,

Yup, You are right,It has the stock sender/wire on the driver's side cylinder head.

I went ahead and left the stock sender/dash light setup in place and used the plug in the pax. side cylinder head. Got all the guages hooked up.

Water temp. is about 180 and oil press. is holding about 35 psi at idle and about 45 psi going down the road.

All looks normal.... smile.gif

Thanks for the info. !
