I seem to be having engine trouble, only this is not for a Camaro. (This is actually for a Koyosho Gas Powered remote control car) redface.gif I have had this car now for quite some time. For the last two years it has set up in the closet. Today I tried to get it started and the engine seemes to be siezed. I drained the gas tank before storing it, but now I can't seem to get either the piston or throttle to turn. This motor seems to be locked tight. At present I am trying to disassemble the entire motor and then reassemble it. If this thing failes to fire up, is there anything that can be done to save it...Please give ANY advice you have. I can assure you that all input will truly be appreciated.

I really don't know much about those things, but can you get some light oil into the cylinder and let it sit for a while?

Thanks!! I just called the local Hobby shop and they said that they have some solution that I must soak the engine in after disassembly...I'm gonna go buy some now......Thanks again graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I bet the diecast metal is siezed to any dissimilar metal and that is your problem.
Try some PB-Blaster or Liquid-Wrench if the stuff at the store is outta sight! Jmho.. pdq67

Actually,
It depends on the type of fuel you were using when you shut down.. as a two stroke, you had oil in the fuel. If it was castor oil, it may have solidified over time, gently heat the cylinder with a blow torch and carefully remove the piston.
If you used synthetic oil last few runs and did not use any afterrun, it is likly rusted past use, you would need new parts
