anyone running Zoops alternator and AC compressor brackets on a SBC? I just ordered the outboard mount kit, 8002, If someone has this setup what brand and part number or length of Ac and alternator belt are you using?

I am trying to save myself some trial and error fitting here.
Thanks,
Jerry

i would think the instructions would tell you what belts to use.

I am running them but don't have the AC hooked up. They can be a pain to get right. My question to you is do you have the double ALT pulley? If you don't better get it or it won't line up.

I can run out to the garage tonight and let you know what ALT and PS belts I am running.

I can tell you one thing though, the pictures they give you for the power steering pump is not how it sits in my car and the belt tension could be a little better. I have tried an old pump and a newer one.

CA420, i am installing only the ac and alt. brackets, I am using my factory pwr steering bracket. I plan on running the AC belt over the crank-waterpump-ac compressor, then the Alt belt over the crank-waterpump-alternator, then the power steering pump runs off the forward most groove on the crank pulley and runs its own belt. Is that how you have yours set up? Why do you need a double groove pulley for the alternator?
Thanks,
Jerry

whatever belts you end up using, yu'd better either get spares or keep the lengths written down in the glove box or something. otherwise, it could get fun if you are 50 miles from home on a Sunday afternoon and a belt breaks and the only place you can find open to get a belt doesn't have the ability or patience to help you get the right belt.

Well if that is your plan then you are on your own. I have the full blown V belt outboard setup so my belts will not fit what you are attempting to do.

Sorry, but it looks like you are stuck with measuring and trial and error.
