I am doing a LS2 T56 conversion to my 69 Camaro. I have to research a lot of things as I go. There is no one single info sourse fo this but you can get a lot of info from the web. You must check out BRPhotrods.com for the ideal way to change your frame to rack and pinion. The guy to talk there is Phill Brewer (owner). Phill has done a few ls1 conversions and has tons of first hand knowledge he can give you. He sales engenes mounts, transmision crossmember, rack and pinion kit, and oder parts. His prices are good. Theyve been doing these type of swaps for a long time, and its mostly what they do. http://www.hotrodlane.cc/ mzrico Aug 1st, 06, 06:07 AM This link shows some of my progress. Take a look at the Rack and Pinion set up with 12" rotors LS brakes, rear mounted 1 1/8" bar, engine mounts, and tubular A-Arms. It is set up for Ls1 or LS2 engine. Most of this stuff is from www.BRPhotrods.com and A-arms with QA1 coil overs from www.bmrfabrication.com http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mzrico/detail?.dir=ac6escd&.dnm=cdd1scd.jpg&.src=ph 67SS&99SS Aug 1st, 06, 06:51 AM http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=472609 |
