Ok.
I have noticed that when my gas tank shows 1/4 or less, the engine acts up, like it is almost on "E" and running out. The hesitation and all. Is the fuel pump going bad or is the gauge wrong? If it is the fuel pump, where is it?

I'm pretty sure the pump is in the tank, but that is near the years stuff like that started changing

anything with fuel injection the pump will be in the gas tank.

If it is your pump, be prepared to replace the sending unit, which will cost around 2-300 dollars, the steel lines at the inlet to the s.u. rust out and break when u loosen them.

Just another way for the dealerships to make money!

the sending units are expensive, dont run any electric fuel pump below 1/4 tank the fuel is its coolant/lubricant, starve it for a second hear and there and it will let you know it,besides you dont want it sucking stuff off the bottom of the tank.
