Installed muncie m-20 in camaro the had a saginaw 3 speed. THe Muncie is a 1966 modelw/a hurst competition + shifter. The saginaw was a 69 original. On the Saginaw, the shifter and linkeage was on the cross member. The muncie, has the shifter and linkage are attached to the tail housing. THe problem is the shifter hits the shift hole when in 2nd and 4th postition. However i can adjust the linkage to eliminate this however, 1st and 3rd position will not fully engage. Do i have to open the shift hole more? (hate to cut my 69) Or, are there different linkages to attach to the Hurst shifter/ or trans, to allow clearance?
thanks to all that respond.
