Today I had a great ride at lunch. The president of my company has a 2001 BMW 5 series with a Lingenfelter built LS1 short block. He added twin garrett turbo's to the LS1. All custom fab plumbing done in his garage. It has the 4L60 automatic with 3:23 BMW M1 posi rear end. This car really scoots. From 80MPH it pulled to 135 very fast and was still pulling hard. This car runs so smooth and quiet that you would never guess what is under the hood. He hid everything as the car looks and almost sounds like a stock 5 series.
Interesting story is that this is a new short block and turbo's as a mechanic at a local BMW dealer took it out for a spin during a 4 wheel alignment service and spun a bearing. This also took out both turbo's as the metal in the oil killed them.
