Look for pics of 69 Yenkos. Many left the dealer with Atlas Racing wheels. The Torque Thrust D is almost identical.

I have pictures of thrusters on my car. I'd love to show them off but have no way to. I'll mail the photos to you in either standard or four photos in a powerpoint file.

chris396 you have a great looking car! what size/backspacing wheels/tires and have you done any suspension mods? killer stance!

thanks,

Thanks super9. I have 15X7 Torque Thrust's on. I'm not sure about the backspacing. All the Torque Thrust's are the same. I have slightly stiffer springs on front that lower the car a half inch. I also put a Hotchkis sway bar on front. Otherwise the suspension is stock. The tires are 205/60/15 and they just fit. The car rides much better now and I really like the look even though I wanted a stock ride height. The front may come up a little when I eventually put on the L89 aluminum heads I have.

i appreciate all the info Chris396. i'm thinking seriously about getting some torq-thrust d's now after seeing your car. i was leaning toward american 200s but haven't spotted any on a '69 to see how they look. also, do you remember what kind of front springs you used?

thanks again,
super9

I got the spring from Detroit Eaton. I had a hard time finding stiffer springs that didn't lower or raise the car more than an inch. I wanted the ride height to be as close to stock as possible. The springs I got are the same stiffness as the Z/28 springs which were the stiffest I could find without affecting the ride height too much. Can you believe that Z/28's had stiffer springs than big blocks? That big motor up front really needs a stiff spring under it.

Chris396 your friggin' car is BEAUTIFUL!

Nothing like a big block RS convertible 4 speed Camaro.

Have you done subframe connectors in your car? If so, did you cut into the connector? I'm considering them to eliminate my sag, but I'm not going to hack into the stiffener plate underneath the car.
