Been reading up on these carbs. Anyone out there running one yet? What do you think?

I hear it's a carb for dummies (me). Thinking about the 670 for my 327.

If you want a carb for dummies get yourself a Edelbrock 600 for your 327, it's a great carb out of the box and you'll save some dough too.

Yes, I just put a 570 on a customer's 350 Caprice convertible....it works great!...right out of the box.
I thought 570 would be too small, but it runs beautifully....
The choke/floats/secondaries were right on as well.
I was very surprised....their ads don't lie...no trouble...

for the price they get for them, they better tune themselves. i would spend half as much and get a "regular" holley and tweak it a little.or get a demon for a little more. not enough people know the art of carburetor tuning anymore.it is actually kind of fun.

Thanks for the input. I opted to go with a 700 mechanical secondary carb.

The shop will dyno the car, tune and jet the carb so it will be right for my application and how I drive the car.

I removed the Edelbrok carb & manifold from my 327 and replaced it with the Holley Street Dominator manifold and the 670 Street Avenger. No tweeking was done, except for the idle...

The car is definitely peppier (haven't re-run it through the 1/4 since doing it, but probably will this weekend).

I personally prefer Holley over the big E.
