If all goes well I'll have the White Wonder with me at the Sac Raceway on Nov 16th for a few passes down the track. Test and tune starts at 10:00am bring your Camaro and come on out.

There will be some guys from Team Chevelle there as well... Jeff (ace841) may bring both his chevelle and his BB Camaro. I know they are also working on Jody to get him to bring out his Yellow Monster!!

Here's the thread on the Chevelle site http://www.chevelles.com/forum/Forum24/HTML/000494.html

Whoa, missed that one! There's no way to get my car legal; depends on how far they'll want to go. I have a trunk mounted battery and will not put an external shut off switch. No rollbar/cage, etc. Maybe I'll call the track owner and see what he says.

I own both Fords & Corvairs, and even a Camaro. The Fords & Corvair run & drive. The Camaro does not.

As far as I know the track is open to anyone over 18 that is willing to pay the entry and has a vehicle that passes tech. Tech is fairly easy so if you have seatbelts, a coolant catch can, a batt tie down, a brake light, all lugnuts, less than 6" of rubber fuel line and no plastic oil line into the cab of the vehicle you shouldn't have a problem.

Yenko.I work at a Ford Dealership, and have driven a few of the Lighting pickups.Man they will put you back in the seat.Have you had the recall done, where Ford will put a new intercooler in with one extra core? It's suppose to improve the performance a little.

The recall was only for the '99-00 Lightnings. Mine is a 2001, so it does not apply (plus I have more hp. hehe). Anyway, 32,000 trouble free miles so far...... can't ask for much more than that. Plus, I really use it as a truck.

This truck is a blast. Truly the biggest grin machine I have ever owned..... or driven. http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

Looks to be like this might be a lot of fun. Come' on camaro guys. Okay you too yenko http://www.camaros.net/forum/wink.gif Is your lightning stock? The ones I raced were. Best race I had that day was against a 69 SBC Chevlle that was right beside me 3times in a row. I won 2 outa 3. This was on a heads up test/tune day.

I'm interested, since it will be after midterms, so maybe I'll trade in a weekend of drinking with the college buddies for a weekend with car guys. If anyone has a digital camcorder we can throw some video up onto the internet of some of the runs, especially of the Lightning losing to a Camaro (j/k Yenko, Ive been in one of those trucks, and they can move!)

Camcojb, any progress talking with the owner.

If the weather is decent I will be there. I haven't done anything to the car since my last time out, but that's what test and tune is all about. Maybe I will be able to get it to hook.

Thanks, Jody. I think it is a variation of Dusk Blue, but just a bit "brighter".

Dennis,
Do you still plan on going to the track tomorrow? Looks like we are not supposed to get any rain. I am game if there are going to be a few guys out there.

Anyone? Does anyone else plan on going?

Not looking good for me Royce. The cars about ready but I have some plumbing problems that may not be able to wait until sunday... Look for a big tall guy in a red Chevelle. His name is Craig and he's a real nice guy...

Hi team Camaro members, this is Craig over from Team Chevelle, Dennis hinted that there were a couple of members over here that were interested in attending the Sac TNT day tomorrow.

If any of you would like to introduce yourselves, I will be running a 70 red/black Chevelle, for the first time mind you, all day. We have approx 6 members from from our site coming from all over checking the scene out, and a couple of Camaro Generations club members included.

Going to be fun event, looking forward to meeting a few of you, let's go racing http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif

I didn't make it out. I went out warmed up the car started backing out, looked out the windshield and saw a puddle in the driveway. Damn cars!!! Electric fuel pump is leaking. Why does it always happen like this? I drove it a week or so ago ran great didn't leak a drop, didn't leak a drop while sitting under the cover. Oh well it could have been worse. I will order a rebuild kit and make it next time.
