I have the rear end out of my car...putting in new springs. I would like to swap in a salvage rear-end in. I am looking for a posi or limited slip 373-411. Can I find anything at a salvage yard that will bolt up to a 69 camaro?

'71 to '74 Nova and clones 8.5 10 bolt rear ends are supose to be a bolt in. You won't find one with the gear ratio you are looking for. You will have to have that changed yourself.

I would definitely tell you not to give up hope on your search. I recently did a 10 bolt to 12 bolt swap on my 68.
This page is wonderful for info. Do a search to get all the specifics. But what I found was there are a lot of the Novas that the rears would work. I don't have the specifics in front of me. But if I remember correclty there were nova rears up to 77 that would work. Mostly they were 10 bolts. But from what I researched the 10 bolt was plenty strong for most cars.
Again don't give up. I did my search around the holidays. I was set on a 10 bolt since the 12s seemed like a search for the holy grale. I went to ever salvage yard in town and came up empty. This one place I went to I told the guy what I was looking for. Since I was hopeful I through in 12 bolt or 10 bolt. The guy called back to the yard and one of his workers said he had a 69 Firebird with a 12 bolt posi 3.73. He said he wanted 400 for it. Initially he was hesitant on selling it. Well sure enough I called back a month or so later and the guy was willing to sell it the second time buy.
So definitely don't give up on the 12 bolt. You could get lucky.
I had info on a guy that had a good supply of 12 bolts. Hes on the west coast and shipping was going to kill me. If I find his inf I'll get it to you.

Hey I'm still looking. I just recently moved and my wife has packed all my paperwork in a mystery box that she for some reason can't find now.
But if anyone out there knows whom I'm talking about, or are who I'm talking about please let us know. I spoke to you via Email just before the Xmas holidays. Obviously I was looking for a 12 bolt for a 68. Geared in the 3.08-4.10 range.
If I find my paperwork I'll post the info. Sorry for the wait.
