Sorry Dennis but you knew this was coming, and no zamboni's are allowed over this post as it's gloating time for those who back the Flames. As I am sure you know already, the Sharks went down 4 games to 2 tonight and the Flames have advanced to Lord Stanley's brew hah hah. Bring on the East for we are not shy of a feast.

Many of you knew from my last post "OMG what an NHL Season" that I had called all along for this series to go to Calgary in 6 games, and tonight we prevailed. I also called for Philly so heres to them winning the next 2 eastern games and coming to the big game next week.

God I love Hockey. shhhhh! It's golf season (lol)

I hope you're wearing a button down shirt, your head is swelling so much you wouldn't be able to take a pull over off! ;) LOL... Congrats and good luck. The sharks seem to get better every year, I'm not a well versed fan but believe this is as close as they have ever been. The Sharks will be back bigger and better than ever next year!! graemlins/hurray.gif graemlins/beers.gif

Very true Mike. I am not that cocky to make preminitions of who will win the cup, but would offer to say that our team is playing at an extreme level of play and have very good chances of beating anybody at this point. Our ex goalie (J.S. Gigureire) was a bit cocky last year and made his own bed while he was in net for Anaheim. If you were ever to hear what the flames say on camera and especially Kiprusoff, they are very humble, yet excited and make no boastful statements that would look bad upon them. One thing is for certain, we are playing 500 hockey against some elite teams and are winning the battles behind the blue lines.

I am quite proud of this teams accomplishments and wish them and the other team the best in the playoffs. I guess you could say that I for one am quite happy to have seen my team make the final and earn the conference championship. Thats quite an accomplishment these days and think we have the talent to excel. Thats the difference between the Flames and the Ducks. Iginla has been labeled as the best player in the NHL right now by Don Cherry, Wayne Gretzky, and other notable coaches and peers offer the same. No doubt his skills have rubbed off along the way with players like Martin Gelina, Craig Conroy, Stephan Yelle and Niminem making the cut. Just look at their collective goals for and against and you can see why they are where they are. Not just a cinderalla story like other teams that have lucked out getting there. They fought the battles and are winning the wars.

As long as the hockey is good caliber, I could care less who wins it. Playoffs are plaoffs and I for one will miss them if the strike holds out for the 2005 season.

As for the Sharks, they are a formidable opponent, and are still an awesome team. I would agree with Dennis and think they will be bigger and stronger next year. Heres to what has been an awesome NHL season thus far. graemlins/beers.gif
