I just bought a moroso differential off of the summit racing clearance table for $200, but I don't know much about installing it in my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would recommend you get a professional to install it.Especially since you saved some $$$ by picking it up off clearance.

Make shure you got the right unit. Some aftermarket units have a higher spline count for drag racing and require special axles.
Also as there are 3 differnt carriers one for above 3.08, one for 3.08 to 3.73, and one for 4.10 and lower. Get a pro to set it up, you will need a bunch of shims, pullers, a press, dial indicators, etc to do the job. It's fairly straight forward to change just carriers.

Just measure backlash, transfer the ring gear to the new carrier, press on new bearings, shim the new bearings for proper pre-load, trade shims side for side until the backlash is back where it was.

Yes I am sure that it is the proper differential for my rearend and it is the street version. Does anyone know how much it would cost have it installed?

At my shop, gear setup runs $295 plus parts.
Bearings run about $130, and gearsets for 8.5 10-bolts are $260. You got a really good deal on those gears.

As far as the info on the carriers that davidpozzi posted, that is true if you are talking 12 bolt. If it's a 10-bolt that's a different story.
