Hello,

Which oil pan offers a better fit for a 502 engine in a 69? Moroso makes a 6 quart 8” deep pan and Milodon makes a 7 quart 8 ½” deep pan. I’m not sure which pan offers a better fit? I want to make sure there is adequate ground clearance and that the starter and 2” primary hooker super comps clear the pan. Thanks all

Joe 69,

I used part number 20411 from the Jegs group, oil pan fabbed mark V BBC, $221.00. This worked on my 68, I put the zz502/502 in my 68. With this pan I had plenty of clearance, drag link etc. Problem still exists with changing the oil filter, I have a 4 speed in mine, Moroso, does not necessarily care about the changing of the oil filter though.

I have a Milodon pan on my 502. The oil filter is easy to get too.
