Alright I am almost ready to change my 3.08 peg-legger to a 4.11 eaton posi. My dad's friend has done this alot and I completely trust him with it. But what I need to do is buy the posi, the gears, and whatever else that is needed to make this changeover. That is what I need to know. What all do I need for this. What brand of gears should I use with the Eaton 4 series differential?
What can I expect to pay just for the parts?
Thank you

I would suggest that you get a 3 series Eaton so you can change back to a 3 series gear later if you don't like the 4.10. You can get a 4.10 that fits the 3 series posi. The Eaton posi is $348 and the 4.10 gear for the 3 series is about $180. You will need a good installation kit which is $89 without axle bearings or $117 with axle bearings. You also need to figure in shipping charges. If you find that your axles are bad then you will need a new set. The Moser axles are stronger than stock and $258.
