where do they ground? the blinkers work, but they dotn stay on with parking lights. im assuming there is a loose ground, or a bad connection somewhere. all other lights work. (cept dash those r next)

well i still have no idea why they r not working, do the power leads go to the fuse block? or to the switch.

If I remember correctly, on my 69, there are three wires going to the turn signal/ running light assembly. One from the headlight switch, one from the turn signal switch and the third wire is a ground. Check the pig tail socket to make sure there is no corrosion bewteen the bulb and the connection. I also had a lamp assembly that the pig tail had a broken wire and sometimes would make a connection and sometimes it wouldn't. I don't know about a firebird, but on my camaro, the wire colors were brown and tan, coming from the switches and black was the ground.

well bruce i went out to look @ the car, yeah i have two to the side ligth and three to the parking front light... the sid elight gets ground from the parking lamp. so both wires going to it r power (one blink one constant) i also pulled apart my wire harness an dfound a corroded repair job.. fixed it, nwo it works.. the light socket was pretty corroded as well i cleaned it out and it works great.. thanks.
