Thought I'd share some pictures of what I had to do to undo the screw up by the vinyl top jerks.
First a shot of what shape the car is in:

Next the sight that tipped me off there was a problem:

Lastly the repair in progress all the spots where there is bare metal had rust (along the rivet line):

Funny thing is I had to fight the body gut to put the welded rivets in cause I didn't want it to rust. He wanted to use pop rivets. He kept saying we'll use aluminum rivets, "yeah but you're still drilling a hole that can/will rust" :rolleyes:
