Is an electric fan better than the fan blade at the end of my pully.Does the electric have more cfms than stock driven blades.Thanks for the help.

All I can say,the fan is only as good as the motor that turns it.I dont know the horsepower of an electric fan motor,but it's a lot less than the one driving my clutch fan.My clutch fan shuts off when it's not needed.I've never felt a electric fan blow my hair around like a engine driven fan.(yeah,like I have hair!)

Are you having cooling problems now? If not why bother?

An engine driven fan flows many more cfm's at speed than the electric, but it may not at idle, which is when you really need it.

The best engine driven setup for the street is a clutch fan that engages based on temp and rpm WITH A SHROUD. The shroud is very important unless the fan is very close to the radiator.

Electrics can work well if done right. Most new cars use no engine fan. Or you can use an electric as an extra fan when needed.

If you do go electric then check out SPAL fans, they are some of the best. Also heard good things about 16" Black Magic fan. Lincoln Mark VIII's used a very good 2 speed fan that I've heard works very well.
