Hey there,

I have a 1988 Camaro with a 350 TPI. I was going to change the original alternator out for a new one, but... One of the bolts is a star bit, like a T-40 with like no grip at all. There is a lower one that looks like it "used" to be a star bit but I don't know what size. It also looks like a nightmare to get off. Any ideas? Thanks in advance,

- Tom

Well, I actually got them off using vice grips. I still have no idea what bit the lower one was but oh well, it is in, running well, and done! smile.gif

Will a 12pt socket fit that bolt? There are some bolts that look like a star bit that are actually meant for a 12 point socket.
