Hey if any of you folks have installed alarm systems on your rides I was wondering if you could give me tips on how to wire the light through the firewall and into the dash. I don't want to drill something I will regret.

what light? LED? Flashing parking lights?

Try to find an old wiring harness and play around with removing/adding wires to the harness plugs. They are very easy to do. There are usually several extra spaces in the engine and front wiring harnesses to add extra wiring for stereos, alarms, chokes, etc.

Just pick one of the 3/8" holes in the firewall that have the rubber or plastic insulation push-fasteners in it, and poke a hole in the center of the fastener for your wire.
