Hi All:
I bought a repo console gauge cluster set-up (already assembled from the retailer) and have a question about the ground wire. When I take the top gauge cover off, I can see that the back two gauges, TEMP & BATT, have a ground wire that mounts to the metal gauge mounting base. However, the front two gauges, FUEL & OIL, do not have such a wire...
Is there a ground wire missing on my gauge package or are the front two gauges just grounded elsewhere (through the wiring harness for instance)?? And to confuse me even more, I have a set of gauge installation instructions (from an old Camaro Enthusiast Magazine) that shows the repo console gauges as have a ground wire for the front two gauges and a ground wire for the rear two gauges. This is an older article so it's possible they changed the wiring of the gauges...
Does anyone know if I am missing a ground wire here?? Or, has anyone purchased a set of repo gauges recently that might be able to comment on this??? I want to get this straightened out before I install them.
Thanks
