Hi everyone, new to the site and my first post is a question (well, really 2) about the front parking lamps on a 69 Z, why would they not work? most common reason with these 1st gen. cars besides bulbs burnt out, bad ground, fuse burnt out?
Also, besides the cowl induction did the 69 Z (early or mid year) come with the hi peformance open element air cleaner? were'nt these cars built w/a flat hood then cowl induct. an option?
Great site by the way, finding tons of info graemlins/thumbsup.gif

your front parking lights will go off when your lights are on that is normal,if they dont come on at all start chasing grounds very important,i have read that only 1 out of every 10 z28 cars had the special inducted hood,

So, on the 69 Z the front parking lamps do go off when the headlights are on? I thought that was a 67-68 thing. OK, I am learning and still chassing that ground gremlin.

Agree with JohnZ. They do stay on. Just got mine all wired up and turned on the lights for the first time yesterday.

67's front parking lights go off with the headlights on, 68's and 69's stay on with the headlights on.

Hi everybody, I found the problem (drumroll)....... Just a bad connection on the pass. side where the wires plug together, no biggie at all.
And Yes, the front parking lamps stay on when the headlights are on for the 69 Z28, and it looks good. Thanks to all for your help.
