Hello all, i need to replace the wires on my 69 327. It has an accel coil and a new HEI kit that fits into the distributor making the points electronic. What size wires should i use.
Also, what type of plugs should i consider using? Are splitfires any good? Should i stay with AC delco.
thanks in advance, paul.

Gilach You should move up to 8mm wires due to the extra capabilitiy of your ignition. As far as plugs go I believe in keeping it simple My car chews up enough reg priced plugs. I have yet to see anyone show me proof (track slips or dyno sheets) that one is better than another. I would say this I would go with a plug with a shiny rather than black metal part because It is easier to read the plugs and tune the engine.

I'm running an Accel super coil with an infra-red trigger plate in place of the points and Taylor spiro-pro wires. only changed the plugs once in 8 years and 15,000 miles. Couldn't be happier.

Even if you don't buy their product, go to www.magnecor.com. (http://www.magnecor.com.) It's good reading. I personally use their product on all my vehicles.

I use A/C Delco spark plugs with an MSD 6AL, MSD Blaster coil, and Accel 8.8mm plug wires.
