Has anyone used the Electronic Speedo from Autometer on a Muncie M20? The speedometer cable output is on the drivers side which also happens to be the side the shifter rods are on. There is not enough room in there to attach the sending unit for this speedo. I think the shifter rods may hit the unit. Besides that, the shifter stop bolt is in the way. Has anyone run into this problem? and how did you solve it.

I have used Intellitronics sensor and am now using Autometer's.

The best installation is to leave the trans cable connection alone and put the sensor on the other end up under your instrument panel dash area. It makes no difference to the sensor where it is physically located as long as it turns one rev when the speedo cable turns one rev.

This IP/dash location eleminates wiring under the car and makes your connection to the meter shorter.

Best to you.
