I have a dirty rheostat on the 57's dash lights and was wondering if y'all know a cleaner I could use? I have tried replacing the switch, but the replacement didn't work either, have sprayed it with WD-40, Carb cleaner, Brake cleaner, took the replacement apart and cleaned it, then broke the selector putting it back together. I don't want to waste more money on 50 year old switches, since new ones aren't available, with no guarantee from the buyer that it will work. Is there any kind of spray or soak I can buy to clean this thing without taking it apart. It isn't dirt, but corrosion and I can't get a straight answer from the parts store.
