on the bottom of my gauge package there is a bulb that goes in a round black receptacle with about 4 wires coming off it. where does that go to? ther is a hole in between the gauges. the bulb fits in there but there is no way to secure it plus the gauges already have individual lights. thank you for your help.

If you have a 1967 car, it is for the low fuel warning.

It's the low fuel warning light controller. The lightbulb in the end of it doesn't do anything in a Camaro. That came from cars that had the module in the dash directly behind the LOW FUEL warning light. You plug the module into one of the blank holes in the gauge mounting plate using the tabs around the hole where the bulb is located. Two of the wires connect to the fuel gauge, the yellow wire with the inline connector on it connects to the ground wire on the FUEL warning light in the left gauge cluster next to the left blinker, and the black wire is connected to ground. The module monitors the resistance of the fuel gauge circuit and it provides a ground to the FUEL lamp when the tank gets down to about 2 or 3 gallons.
