: 67 rs headlight to switch diode MJG Aug 2nd, 02, 05:37 PM Can I change the diode on my 67 headlight to key switch on the brown wire or do I have to get the whole harness with diode installed. What I'm asking is can I buy just the diode and solder it in the line and what kind do I need to try to find and where to get it. Any part numbers handy.Mine was pulled in two by accident. Thank's for any help 1 2RUN Aug 3rd, 02, 05:55 PM If you have a Radio Shack or an electronics repair shop nearby you can get one there. What you need is a rectifier diode. It's basically a one-way valve for electricity. Make sure you hook it up in the right direction. Get one that's rated for about 50 volts and 5 amps.
