I had an alarm installed about 10 months ago in my 93 Z28, my alarm came with a remote that arms and locks the doors with one button, and unlocks and disarms with another button. about 7 months after i got the alarm, my drivers side door started not to unlock when i disarm my car. My passenger side door does, and my drivers side still locks! it just won't unlock. alarm still works. is it a wiring problem? I am not blaming it on the alarm, but i thought it would be helpful to know i have one. I also cannot unlock my drivers side with the key anymore, which means i have to get in the passenger side of my car every time i get in. (REALLY ANNOYING!) Also, when i bought the car used, the passenger side window button just flaps and will not roll down the power window, but my button for it on the drivers side opens it. could somebody please help me?! They're just very annoying problems, as i'm sure you can see!

Sounds like the door lock solenoid.
Wifes Mitsubishi does the same thing.
Guess I'll look at it AFTER the 69's running again! http://www.camaros.net/forum/biggrin.gif

I have to agree that the power lock solonoid on the drivers side is froze up. you'ld have to pull the door panel to get to it. as far as the windows, I take it by saying the window switch "flaps" you mean that you can press it both ways, it just doesn't make the window do anything. if so, the switch is probably dirty or bad. I would try cleaning it first with a spray cleaner for electrical parts( make sure it wont eat the plastic) and if that doesn't work, I'ld actually take the switch apart(carefully) and gently scrape and clean all the contacts then try it. someone probably spilled pop into it and since that switch doesn't get used much... if there was a wiring problem or a motor problem, you wouldn't be able to put it up/down from the drivers side either.

just as a sidenote for everyone, on chevys atleast, if the passenger side window won't go up or down with either switch, the drivers side switch probably needs cleaning. I have run into this so many times and seen so many techs with door panels off checking motors and wiring. try cleaning the switches first.
