I recently purchased a Pioneer cd player to replace the factory radio in my 93 Camaro. Installing the radio was a piece of cake. Only problem I'm having now is trying to get the wiring down. I have it currently hooked up and running off 2 speakers sitting in my backseat. What I need to know is whether or not that factory speaker system (Delco/Bose) is an amplified system or a common ground system. If anyone has installed an aftermarket radio using the IEC PSI2 (from InstallEdge) that would help out a lot as well being that I'm not sure which harness to splice it into. I'll be glad to answer any further questions that help in figuring this out.

I am fairly certain that the stock radio in your car was originally without any external amplification. The Bose system should have an amp inside the head unit itself.
You should be able to find a ready to solder harness adapter at most any big electronics store or Crutchfield catalog (available online). Simply match up the new cd/radio harness connections to the adapter wires, solder and then plug in the adapter.
I have done this on several different vehicles. Really not hard at all! Then if you want to add an amp there should be wires there ready for the application.
Good Luck!
