Can I use my original fuse panel, ('68 ), as an extra for additional accessories, such as a tach, new Auto Lite guages & any other stuff that mught pop up down the road ?
I have a new wiring system (M&H)& thought I could clean up the guage pkg. wiring by routing it to a different panel.
If this is possible, how do I do it ?
Where & how do I add power to this extra panel ?
Thanks, Dan

Dan, one thing to keep in mind is whether these additional connections are switched or always hot ... that will affect how you wire it. I did a similar thing on my 55, but I just used a "plain" 4 fuse panel ( hooking up alarm and door locks ) . If piggy-backing off an existing circuiy, I would tap the circuit before the fuse ... You could also run a wire from battery ( I would use a 20 to 30 amp fuse at battery ... sort of like car amps do ) and you could install a relay to make it a switched circuit ... when the key is turned it can energize the relay which would then allow power to the auxiliary fuse box ... just some thoughts... I hope some are useful ...

Thanks for the help.
I think I was going a little to big for the console guages. I think I'll tap into an ingn. only wire so the guages work when the ingn. is turned on.
I just wanted to clean up all those guage wires and use a dedicated line just for the guages. Your 4 fuse set up sounds better.
Thanks again,
Dan
