I recently removed the front clip of car, and when I replaced it, the parking light on the driver's side kights when the headlights are on. The other side doesn't. Which is right and what might the problem be?

Park lights should be on with the headlamps on.... Check the basics: bulb, ground wire, corrosion on the terminals in the connectors, corrosion in the socket itself... Do the turnsignals and the sidemarkers work ? [This message has been edited by 18436572 (edited 03-29-2002).] 70Coupe Mar 29th, 02, 05:33 PM All the lights work, just not when they're supposed to. Tonight I went out adjust the headlights, and neither parking light came with the headlights. All the side markers work, as do the turn signals and taillights. Maybe I need a new wiring harness for the lights. I noticed quite a bit of what appears to be corrosion inside the wires when I stripped one to reconnect it. Think that may be the problem? Thanks for your reply. 68BB427 Mar 29th, 02, 06:19 PM I'm not familiar with a 70 Camaro, so I have to ask does the parking lamp also function as your turn signal? If so, it has dual filiment bulbs. Could it be one of the filements is burnt out? Just a guess. 70Coupe Mar 29th, 02, 07:03 PM That was my first thought also. I put the one bulb in the other socket and it came on. The bulbs are okay. I have a feeling the wires are pretty bad inside the insulation. That would also account for other electrical problems I've encountered. |
