Where do I put the antenna on my 69 camaro?Do I have to drill a hole?I really don't want to do that to my precious body!THANKS!

Do a search on this. It has been discussed pretty well. Yes, you will need to drill a hole if you want it to be correct. The placement is critical because of reinforcement on the fender for the antenna. Unless you get the hole REAL close to exactly where it belongs, you could drill into the reinforcement and then your screwed. It's allmost safer to remove the fender. Do you need a new blower motor by chance?

My 69 convertible has the antenna on the right rear fender, which was an option. It's a nice change to all the front fender installations.

The most used location is on the right (pass. side) front fender. If you want I can measure mine and let you know. It still has the factory antenna.

I have seen and read about antennas that are placed inside the car, usually in the roof. They look like small flat paddles. I don't know if tehy work very well or not. I've seen several on street rods at shows, but never asked how well they work.

My boat has an antenna under the dash. All it is are two wires that fan out on either side of the radio. Picks up AM/FM stereo real well without the necessity of drilling holes in it.

I have a factory antenna under the dash encased in rubber hose. Secured and hidden of course..

Sounds dorky but works fine, I get all the major stations no prob.

The under dash wire one work fine too.

Thanks a lot guys. I like the idea of the hidden antenna. I'd love to have one of those rather then putting a hole in my fender. Does anyone know where I can get one?
