There may be something you can do. In Chevy Hi Performance Magazine, (well on their site http://www.chevyhiperformance.com) there is an article in the tech section about this. It involves hooking up 12volt relays to the headlights in order to get the complete 12v out of the system. Read the articel and you will understand. Also, You can always switch over to the bulbs (if u dont already have them) instead of the headlight housing most older cars have to use. You can find them on eBay or http://www.heavenforcars.com. The "blue" lights are ok but you have to check up on your local laws. There are not street legal in every state. Hope I was of help. Good luck. Joe ('79 Camaro)

Check the voltage at the lights, make sure you also check it while using the light's ground.Make sure the conector is clean. You should have battery voltage. Also check volts,at headlights, with headlights on.If you dont have real close to batt volts,There is a bad conection, somewhere. And the search begins.

The article in Chevy High Performance uses a kit from MAD Enterprises. I used this kit on both my 68 Camaro and 69 Nova and it made a huge difference. The kit installs in about an hour and come with EASY to follow instructions.

The phone # to MAD is (559)539-7128. Ask for Mark and tell him John from Montana refered you.
He also carries other electrical upgrade kits that are easy install items. Ask him for a catalog.

Good Luck!!

make sure you check your grounds carefully, once in a while my driver's side headlight will dim on me and the ground will have come loose.
