Yesterday for no reason I can find my pass side brake light stoped working. I tested the wire and it is not getting power, but the other side is. Any one have any suggestions?

Dustin PDQUICK Mar 28th, 04, 02:55 AM On our cars, the directional and brake light share the same bulb filament. Basically, the turn signal switch disconects the brake light wiring from one bulb when the turn signal is on. I suspect that you have a turn signal switch problem. If you have power there, its somewhere between the connector and the socket. If no power there, then next leg of the wires connect near the emergency brake pedal area, another connector there. Before you tear into the switch, check power from those connectors. Then switch is probably the culprit. dnult Mar 28th, 04, 07:40 AM There is another connector under the dash near the emergency brake pedal that feeds power to the rear. You can check there for voltages as well. click Mar 28th, 04, 07:54 AM Dave I said that up above :D at least he knows its an important area to look. |
