On an old post, I saw how you mounted your battery in the trunk. It looks great. I am mounting a similar battery mount. The new mount doesn't sit completely level (it rocks from side to side some) I am wondering if you shimmed yours to sit level or if the 69 had a different floor pan than the 68. Did you use any kind of gasket or something between the mount and the trunk floor. It seems like I should use cork or something to shim it level and insulate it from rattles.

Thanks for the help. You have a beautiful car. graemlins/beers.gif

Ironwood...

Man, I am SO sorry, I was searching for something else, and saw your post, which I never noticed before!!.

So, if you still have the problem, here is my answer, better late than never I guess!

My mount actually sits very level, and is rigidly mounted with NO movement whatsoever. I am not sure who's mount you are using, but mine screws in from under the extension, so no mounting hardware is visable, and no shims required.

Hopefully you resolved your issue. smile.gif
