I own a stock 69 SS 350 with no tilt steering.
When I turn my key off and even pull it out, the generator idiot light remains on. I suspect it is in the ignition switch. Any thoughts?

Could also be bad alternator. Mine did that and it all boiled down to the alternator. Check it out at Advance or Autozone for free.
