Does anyone know where I can get information on the A/C compressor in my 1987 2.8 Camaro? It is a Harrison Radiator 635 Mod 1131635. For some reason it has been dissconnected elictrically by a previous owner, and I want to know what checks I can make before plugging it back in to the harness. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as here in the UK, there aren't a lot of people who deal with this sort of thing.

Smeemick, looks like no one is responding. I have an '87 2.8 so I may be able to help. The clutch in my a/c compressor went bad. I suspect the same happened to yours. Actually I think the seal went first. Look for oil on the underside of the hood or on the side of the motor next to the a/c compressor where it would have sprayed.

When the clutch engages it makes a horrible sound and creates alot of vibration because the clutch is slipping. I bet the previous owner disconnected it because of this. I would just plug it in and give it a try.
