A friend has a 68 camaro and wants to install a complete console that was removed from a 69 camaro. The console has the harness on it but the 68 does not have a corresponding connector to plug into it, only the wires running to the neutral safety/backup switch at the base of the column. Is there an intermediate harness that will plug in between his connectors and the console harness? We dont want to cut his harness unless necessary to run wires to the console.

Hi droptop, I dont think you will find what you need without a complete new wiring harness such as those sold by the resto parts houses. Those plastic wire connectors themselves are not repoduced for sale either.
If you will be using the complete guage set up, you need all those wires that commonly are in the wire harness.
If you wont be using the guages, then individual wire runs will be needed.
Here is a link to photo of the wire harness and what they are for.

Hope this helps and Im moving your post to the Elec. section, where all the elec guru's hang out for other ideas they might have.

Thanks,
this is just a plain old console, so the only wires to run are for the backup switch, neutral safety, and console lights..simple enough to extend the wires from the harness, he just didnt want me to cut the plastic ends off his harness if we didnt need to. Maybe I will just make a harness and use spade connectors for the ends.
