I've been trying to get the horns working on my '67 Coupe and think the problem is the horn relay. I just replaced it and still no horn. I've got everything working up to the relay (when I hit the horn, it completes the ground on the black wire going to the relay). The green wire going to the horn never gets any juice though. Is there a way I can test the relay? I've hot-wired the horns so I know they work and thought I'd have it fixed by replacing the relay and still nothing.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

Do you hear the relay click?
You can ohm it out. Or use a volt meter.
There are 4 contacts to look at. Two are for the control circuit, one power for relay one ground to turn relay on and off. Two to power horn, one with batt power (red wire), one to horn (green, if I remember). When you press horen it competes the circuit and energizes the relay and the horn circuit feeds power to the horn. I believe the Red feed wire is a fusable link, pull on it gentely and if it streches then it is bad.

Big Red 12v------x/ x------Horn---Body Gnd
(fuse link)(movable contacts)

@
small Red 12v----x/@\x---Horn switch --Gnd
(coil)

Hope this helps...
