: Atlanta Locals
idoxlr8 May 10th, 04, 10:01 AM For those that are in this area of the country :D
Lets get together on Friday MAY 21 at the track out in Dallas GA.
I will be there for the Test and Tune and if I get some bugs worked out by then I will try and make a few shake down passes.
Track opens at like 1700 (I think) and it is $10 to watch or make runs.
I don't expect my car to that quick but I'd still like to see what it does. graemlins/clonk.gif
Let me know what you think!

Shoot me an email middle of next week to remind me. The Dallas 1/8 is only 15 minutes from me. Might run the '67 or just watch, not sure yet.
Hey, Hall, you up for it?

My son is graduating on that day. I tried to get them to postpone it for a day, BUT NOOOO!!!
Car running OK? Sure did sound good when it was leaving... graemlins/thumbsup.gif
CFunK May 11th, 04, 05:56 AM Not yet. I just got the new Lokar tranny dipstick tube this morning. Should be back on the ground this afternoon. And yes I will be using a bit of silicone on the new tube. smile.gif
ummgawa May 11th, 04, 09:53 AM I told you that you should have.... :D maybe next project it can be 110+ degrees so we can all fall out before it's done. My son was upset that he missed your car, of course, Kurt got really motivated by working on your ride and is now working on his. Maybe he'll have us over for a block sanding party.
CFunK May 11th, 04, 11:04 AM It's done now. No leaks yet. That new stall converter really hits harder off the line, I like it.
I need to shorten the braided line, maybe you can give me a lesson on cutting braided stainless line one day.
Tell Kurt I am up for it.
ummgawa May 11th, 04, 02:25 PM Simple-Tape it with Masking tape really thick and cut it with a NEW Hack saw blade. That simple.
By the way, cut it on the masking tape.
You da man.
idoxlr8 May 12th, 04, 02:29 AM Funk,
Sorry about the time issue, To much time working for Uncle Sam (bad habit that I can't seem to break). I'll remind you next week.
I was out there weekend before last and thought it was an OK track (nothing like the DIV 7 Track in Fallon which is an NHRA designed track that will hold a 4.?? pass by a Fuel Car). Dallas runs up hill and leans to the right pretty badly in the right lane.
skinitbacjac May 13th, 04, 03:45 PM Jim / Chris !!!!!
Evening gentlemen. Figured I'd get on here and say hello. Chris, enjoyed wrenching on your car the other day, kinda got me going. Hope it's running good for ya. I'm ready to get back in the game, just need to do it. It was good meeting you, any friend of Big Jim Hall is a friend of mine.
Go Fast!
CFunK May 13th, 04, 07:31 PM Big Jim Hall, now that is funny!
I REALLY appreciate your help. Anything I can do to repay the favor just ask.
The new TC is a God send. It's a whole new driving car. You guys did me good and I appreciate it.
Kurt, just call, I'll be there.
ummgawa May 14th, 04, 11:58 AM Ah yes my bestest Buddy Kurt in the ole stompin grounds. Welcome to you from some of the greatest guys I've never met!! Funk- I'm real glad that your wicked 67 is like a new car. Wait 'till Kurt gets his car on the road. I said it once and I'll say it again, amoungst my car buddies there is a phrase "There's clean and then there's Kurt Freeman Clean." We all ask it when we are going to look at a car. Funk, I'm tellin ya, as clean as your car is, and its clean, Kurt just has that touch. He just takes it to that next step. He's had a teriffic influence on my car building over the years. And he just stays till it's done right. This site is a better place with him here. WELCOME EDDIE PREDDIE!! :D
