Can anybody tell me what might be wrong.I am cloning a 68 Camaro conv to a SS.I put a factory console with gauges.Ithen installed a new tank the old gauge worked fine i took the wires from it to the console gauge and get nothing.I want to remove the old gauges and install a tach.Everthing eles on the console gauges works fine just can,t get the gas gauge to work.Any ideas

Checked for 12 volt power and ground to the gage. Most of the other gages used in the car don't need a ground.

Thanks John i will try that i should have 12 volt power because the same live wire worked on the in dash gauge.
