I took the gas tank out of my Z about a mouth ago put in a new tank now the gage goes all the way to Full. I have made sure that I did not pinch the wire (Brown)that gose to the Sending unit and made sure that the ground was on good. I am going to take the tank back off to night. How should I go about checking it. If I unplug it it should go to "E" wright or not.

It's the other way around:
Past full = open circuit
Empty = grounded
Either a bad sending unit or a bad ground.
