I'm trying to understand SI internal regulated alt.convertion. I understand how to do wires on valtage reg and jump a 10 gauge wire from #2 to alternator output. Do you wire the alternator straight to junction block or battery?

Electrically the + battery terminal or the block are both the same. Running it to the block means that there would be 1 less wire on the battery to keep clean.

i have a really big cable (4 gauge) going from the post on the back of the alternator directly to the battery. it is supposed to be more efficient that way. the alternator feeds the battery, which is what runs the car. the closer you can get the charge to the battery in the circuit, the less strain on everything. that is how all the new cars are wired.
i have factory battery cables out of a 87 caprice cop car i parted out. it looks pretty clean, actually. but i have side posts(i like them better), and if you have top posts you could run a stereo junction block on the + terminal, or get a batt cable with a power lead on it.
